Abstract

This.study was carried out in the anesthetized rabbits to assess the therapeutic effect of tracheal suction in pulmonany aspiration of hydrochloric acid. The changes of X-Ray findings of the chest caused by asprrntion of the acid was examined.
The pulmonary consequences after the aspiration of hydrochloric acid was not improved by tracheal suction treatment after more than 10 seconds following. aspiration of the acid.
It revealed that removal of aspirated acid by tracheal suction within ten sconds was the key to the treatment of aspiration.
